Everyday Strong is a holistic movement practice dedicated to helping you move better and live more capably. You won’t just get a workout, you get a program that will empower you to take ownership of your well-being. We will look at your daily choices to find patterns, set clear goals, and find the right movement for your body.
While I work with anyone motivated to improve their movement and function, I specialize in helping those navigating complex health journeys including cancer survivors, older population, and individuals living with chronic pain.
I also provide specialized coaching for performers in high-impact worlds like stunts, inline rollerblading, and acrobatics, helping athletes build the resilience needed for extreme movement.
Only you can take control of your fitness and well-being!
Success at Everyday Strong is measured by your independence. I am not looking for lifelong clients. I am looking to create lifelong movers. While I am happy to work with those who want a long-term coaching relationship, my focus is on helping you gain the education and confidence to manage your own movement.
I will give you the tools, you execute!

I am a retired Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) who spent his career in Texas working in aquatic therapy, outpatient clinics, and sports rehab. I worked with a variety of conditions, ranging from spinal cord injury to elite athlete rehabilitation.
My knowledge is lived experience. I’ve spent 15+ years exploring movement as a professional athlete, competing and working as a stunt performer, dancer, acrobat, and aggressive inline rollerblader.
I have 10+ years of teaching movement, from teaching strength training and stunt acting to serving as a Breaking and Acrobatics Professor at the School for the Performing Arts in Puerto Rico.
Everyday Strong will benefit anyone who desires to improve their movement quality and overall strength. While I work with all levels, I have a extensive experience in the following:
Many Everyday Strong clients need more than a standard personal trainer, whether they are transitioning out of physical therapy or managing a long-term illness.
I have worked with individuals navigating conditions such as:
I have worked with a wide range of senior clients, including individuals in their 80s & 90s, focusing on the strength and mobility required to maintain independence.
A key part of my work involves teaching practical, life-saving skills such as the ability to safely get up from the floor.
My key focus with older clients include:
Extreme movement demands more than standard gym workouts focused on aesthetics. Drawing on the unique stresses of stunts, skating, and acrobatics, I build custom strength programs designed to fix structural weaknesses, reduce injury risk, and support your specific discipline.
Having trained skaters recovering from injury and those chasing explosive power, I understand the physical toll of the street and park. By building joint resilience and functional strength tailored to blading mechanics, I help you skate harder, longer, and with better control.
*** Individuals that have recently recovered from an injury, accident, or surgery will need approval from their doctor before continuing with Everyday Strong.

I build training programs specifically for your needs. Each program is built by taking into account:
Your Environment: Available equipment, whether you're at home, a gym, or on the road.
Injury History: Current limitations or past injuries that require specific attention.
Lifestyle & Sport Demands: The specific movements and stresses of your life, hobbies, and profession.
Medical Guidance: Integrating recommendations from your doctors/care team.
My goal is to give you a movement education that includes:
Training Modifications: How to adjust your workouts based on your energy, pain, or schedule.
Autoregulation: How to read your body's signals so you know when to push and when to back off.
Navigating Flares: Move safely through discomfort and fatigue instead of being sidelined.
Safe Progressive Overload: Build strength consistently without wearing your body down.
I help you build the confidence to take the lead in your own fitness and health journey. This coaching focuses on:
Doctor's Visit Preparation: Framing the right questions for your doctors so you can make the absolute most of your appointments.
Strategic Goal Setting: Set realistic, clear goals that build lasting strength instead of quick short-term fixes.
Lifestyle Connection: Understand how sleep, stress, and food directly impact your progress and recovery.

This 12-week program is designed for everyday individuals who want to get stronger, move better, and feel more capable in their daily lives. This is a general fitness and wellness routine, not a bodybuilding program.
By the end of the program, you will have gained the following:
The 12-week program is strategically broken down into three distinct phases:
Detailed Instructions: You will receive clear guidelines on exactly how often to exercise, how to track and manage your progression, and how to structure your weekly routine.
Exercise Variations: Every exercise includes modifications and alternative options so you can easily find a safe, comfortable entry point that matches your current fitness level.
Video Examples: To ensure you exercise with confidence and maintain proper form, the program includes clear video demonstrations for every movement.
This is a fully independent, self-paced routine, giving you the ultimate flexibility to complete your workouts on your own time, at your own speed, whenever it works best for your schedule. There are no supervised sessions, but you can always reach out via email if you have any questions or concerns.
This program is built for longevity. It is structured so that you can repeat the entire 12 weeks and still progress by simply starting at a higher entry point (i.e. higher intensity or using more advanced variations) the second time around.
The best option would be to have gym accessibility. At the bare minimum, I recommend having:
If you need help determining what equipment you need for your level, I would recommend booking a single supervised session before starting the program.
This independent program is an affordable alternative for those who want to invest in their health and fitness but cannot commit to weekly one-on-one coaching packages.
To maximize your results, I highly recommend booking a single supervised session both before you begin and after you finish the program. In these individual sessions, I will conduct a physical assessment to determine your baseline, provide personalized feedback on your form, and advise you on your best next steps. I can also advise you on what variations or equipment would be best for you as you complete the program.
If you have any questions or aren’t entirely sure if this program is the right fit for you and your goals, please feel free to reach out. I’m here to help you figure out the best path forward!

Quality presence and quality results
John is an excellent trainer. He is very knowledgeable about the body and provides excellent exercises that can be done in a gym, at home or while traveling. His program has helped me get my mobility and strength back. Thank you John
This is an investment you will never regret in taking.
I think it’s great to find that through movement and exercise you can get rid of pain and discomfort that comes from work and a comfortable sedentary lifestyle that we often don’t realize we’ve fallen into. Everyday Strong has provided me with the strength, energy and regeneration I didn’t know I needed.
John is a knowledgeable trainer who takes the time to get to know your goals and your body's limits. When addressing preexisting injuries, his experience really shows as he gives you multiple alternative exercises and explanations on how and why they will help. He gives you advice on how to read your own body's signals and stay in the zone of challenging workouts and preventing you from not pushing hard enough or pushing too far. His positive attitude and down to earth demeanor provide the perfect environment and tone to get your head in the right space to excel.
Best training I’ve had and John is super easy to work with. I’ve had great results and is worth it 💯
